Armando Muñiz became a friend when he was nearing the height of his prizefighting career as a  welterweight in the 1970's.  

After boxing, he became an award-winning High School teacher, and an active member of his community in Riverside, California.  

He and his lovely wife Yolanda will celebrate their 50th Wedding Anniversary this coming May.  They have raised three successful children and are looking forward to many more years together.
